Parababel 旁置巴别塔About Parababel
In the old story, the Tower of Babel ends with humanity scattered into languages that no longer understand each other. Parababel starts from the other end: leave every language exactly as it is, and put a live interpreter right beside it.
We believe the most interesting talk, lecture or conversation in the world should be open to everyone who is curious, whatever language it happens to be in. Parababel begins with online video, because that is where most of the world's spoken knowledge now lives, and grows from there toward real-time exchange between any two languages.
Principles
- Streaming first. Understanding should arrive while the words are still being spoken.
- Beside, not over. The original voice is never erased. You choose the mix.
- Private by architecture. Secrets stay on your machine, and we run no servers that see your audio.
- Simple enough to trust. Every moving part has to prove it won't silently break the experience.
